  1. Role Title: Business Development Manager (Auto-logbook Loans)

Job Purpose

To provide lead in business development through marketing and recruiting of customers, processing and disbursement of auto-logbook loans and ensure timely collection of the same to ensure healthy portfolio.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell auto logbook loans to achieve company-wide disbursement targets against auto-logbook loans
  • Management of key clients relationships and networks
  • Make follow-up on the accounts with court cases in liaison with the legal team involved
  • Ensure all targets allocated in the department are fully met
  • Create an effective credit scoring model on auto-logbook loans
  • Give direction on the day to day operations to other branch personnel in satellite branches in regards to auto-logbook loans business growth
  • Initiate and organize external affairs to increase the company’s credit visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities
  • Maintain a quality loan book with increased profits and reduced non performing accounts

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business Management or any other relevant field. Diploma holders with vast sales management experience will also be considered
  • 5+ years of sales and management experience in auto-logbook loans processing in a fast-paced commercial environment

  1. Role Title: Business Development Manager (Asset Finance)

Industry: Micro finance

Job Purpose

Play a lead role in generating Asset Finance business through effective relationship management of various existing and new relationships, in a manner that guarantees product growth and sustainability

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate a clients’ base on asset finance whilst focusing on delivering on the agreed disbursement targets
  • Ensure the company branch offices maintain a healthy deal pipeline of leads from dealers and larger SMEs and Corporates (new and existing) so as to achieve sector growth target
  • Provide leadership in branch offices in a manner that ensures efficient management of the portfolios and sales maximization on Asset Financing
  • Build staff capacity and knowledge of the company’s asset finance offering through training, joint calls, ad hoc portfolio reviews and loan processing where necessary
  • Review existing products offering so as to ensure asset finance product meets the customers’ needs and counters competition
  • Negotiate and establish partnerships with the business partners i.e. dealers and other service providers and review the same as when necessary
  • Monitor and review all undrawn facilities to improve on take-up and ensure that the approval terms are in line with the company product policy
  • Ensure timely and efficient SLA adherence by asset finance processing team for applications received and see that clients and dealers etc are advised of the company’s decision without delay
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on asset finance lending business proposals
  • Ensure product development and visibility through campaigns etc
  • Ensuring timely debt payment and restructuring of facilities where necessary

Key Requirements

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or related discipline
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in asset financing in a reputable financial institution

  1. Role Title: Business Development Manager (Trade Finance)

Job Purpose 

Play a lead role in maintaining and enhancing the relationships with partner financial institutions that use guarantee instruments and also carry out tasks relating to the monitoring and reporting of guarantee instruments

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing relationships with financial institutions in a manner that safeguards the company’s best interests
  • Promote the sustainable development of the company’s trade finance business in all the branches
  • Lead trade finance guarantee project origination and supervision missions by visiting clients and assessing their compliance with the terms of the guarantee agreements including eligibility of trade instruments etc.
  • Develop and promote new trade finance products by providing regular feedback on the needs of users guarantee instruments and changes in market dynamics
  • Work with partner institutions to ensure the repayment of overdue transactions by issuing banks to forestall a call on the company’s guarantee
  • Monitor the utilization of various trade finance limits, compliance with conditions and covenants of guarantee agreements, and reconciliation of income due to the company on each guaranteed transaction
  • Monitor the performance of trade finance guarantee portfolio – analyse, recommend and implement changes to ensure the products remain relevant to the needs of clients
  • Prepare regular trade finance guarantee portfolio reports for the benefit of various internal stakeholders including senior management and Directors
  • Ensure compliance of all guarantee projects with related agreements and various company guidelines, including anti-money laundering guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues both in the Head office and at the branches in a manner to ensure timely and effective delivery of business objectives. This would involve active consultation and communication through personal action and active follow-up where necessary.

Key Requirements

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or related discipline
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in commercial banking and/or development banking in areas such as trade finance operations, transaction reconciliations and risk analysis, with in-depth knowledge of best practices in managing trade finance guarantee instruments, especially letters of credit issuance and confirmation
  • Financial institution and/or corporate client relationship management experience and skills would be a definite advantage

Job Purpose

Play a lead role in creating and managing a portfolio of clients and their Invoice Finance arrangements to ensure profitability and maximise business revenue

  1. Role Title: Business Development Manager (Check-Off Loans)

Job Purpose

Take lead in the growth of check-off loans portfolio through leveraging on institutional relationships and networks in a manner that will see healthy loans portfolio and maximum revenue generation

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell check-off loans to achieve company-wide disbursement targets
  • Management of key clients/institutional relationships and networks
  • Ensuring all targets allocated in the department are met.
  • Create an effective credit scoring model on check off loans
  • Give direction on the day to day operations to other branch personnel in satellite branches in regards to check-off loans business growth
  • Oversee operations in the title deed loan sales and loan handling to ensure compliance with credit and operational guidelines and procedures
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally and advising management from time to time
  • Ensure all credit applications are processed on a timely manner based on stipulated guidelines and policy rules.
  • Market the company’s products
  • Establishing credit lines and monitoring
  • Customer retention and overseeing institutional accounts and customer relationship management.
  • Implementing an effective credit control policy and procedure while ensuring that the same is followed
  • Recovery on the bad debt portfolio and resolution of any outstanding queries
  • Preparation and analysis of the aged analysis report
  • Representing the company in the civil lawsuits filed against defaulters
  • Update productivity daily and prepare and submit tip off/pending sales application report weekly

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business-related course or Social Sciences

Spearhead the visibility of the cheque discounting product and growing its client base to ensure optimised business revenue and reduced exposure levels

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead in making product awareness and market penetration
  • Ensure expeditious processing of the cheque discounting requests within the company credit guidelines
  • Design and roll-out a standard operating procedure for effective cheque discounting service

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Employ best practice and seek to continually improve processes and productivity
  • Conduct due diligence audits and new business surveys to effectively monitor risk and make recommendations for credit
  • Ensuring timely collections of payments (cheques) and by product

  • Ensure payments, booking and LPO financing is promptly done
  • Play a pivot role in the company in regards to resolution of clients’ issues, queries and complaints that may arise

  • Timely generate and share management reports i.e. daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Promptly prepare and deliver stop orders whenever it becomes necessary
